• Welcome to the Social Studies department!

One question many students ask is: Why do you need to learn Social Studies?

As a district we came up with these answers:

    1. To help us develop judgment of worldly affairs by understanding the past behavior of people and societies.

    2. To help us understand change and how the community, nation and world we live in came to be.

    3. To help us develop essentail skills for citzenship.

    4. To help us develop essential reading, writing, and thinking skills.

    5. To help inspire use to actively participate in our community.
